Doha: The price of petrol and diesel in Qatar will remain the same in September. This was announced by Qatar Petroleum on the company website today.
The price for one litre of Premium and Super grade petrol remains the same at QR1.50 and QR1.60 respectively.
The price of diesel also remains the same at QR1.50 per litre.
In a departure from the usual practice of Ministry of Energy and Industry announcing the monthly petrol prices on its website, this time it was Qatar Petroleum that announced the new prices.
Ministry said in a note on its website that 'Starting August 30, 2017, fuel prices will be posted on Qatar Petroleum website.
The Ministry of Energy and Industry had cut the price of premium and super grade petrol in August by 5 dirhams. The price of diesel remains the same from July.
The ministry announced in April 2016, that it will start pegging the fuel prices to the international market.
After this the prices were posted on its website in line with the decision to review fuel prices every month, based on international prices.
When the first list was announced in June 2016 the premium petrol was QR1.20 per litre, super QR1.30 per litre and diesel QR1.40 per litre.
