(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) VATICAN CITY, Aug 28 (KUNA) -- Pope Francis is set to visit Myanmar from 27 to 30 November, and to Bangladesh from 30 November to 2 December, a Vatican official said.
Director of the Holy See Press Office Greg Burke said in a statement on Monday that the pope would make an "Apostolic Journey" to Myanmar and Bangladesh between November 30 and December 2.
He said that the Pope had welcomed "the invitation of the respective heads of state and bishops".
It will be the first time for a Vatican pope to visit Myanmar, but the third to Bangladesh. (end) mn.mt
