Pakistan- KhUJ urges governor KP to take notice of power outages in Bara
BARA, August 28: Khyber Union of Journalist (khUJ) demanded of the federal government, governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to take notice of hours long power outages in Bara.
KhUJ president Suhbat Afridi said that Bara tehsil of Khyber Agency has been subjected to 24-hour power outages which was unjust.
He said that the area was severely affected due to nine long years of military operation where every locality of the tehsil has seen losses of property as well as lives. He said that he could count the areas where power transformers were not working or supply line stolen.
He said that transformers in dozens of areas have been laying dysfunctional where thousands of meter of supply line was stolen in the area. He said that there are areas that were subjected to 22-hours power outages and urged the government to allocate proper funds for installations of transformers as well as repair of supply line.
