KUWAIT, Aug 27 (KUNA) -- A Kuwaiti charity delivered its 37th batch of aid to Kyrgyzstan on Sunday, helping the central Asian nation's neediest people break the cycle of poverty.
Speaking to KUNA via telephone, Director General of Kuwait's Peace Society for Humanitarian and Charitable Works Dr. Nabil Al-Oun described the latest installment of aid as comprehensive, saying it encompassed diverse philanthropic works.
He added that the projects include the construction of 14 mosques interspersed across three Kyrgyz cities that collectively accommodate some 10,000 worshippers.
Al-Oun also revealed that four major water projects will be carried out to meet the needs of around 20,000 people, while three dental clinics have already been up and running.
He pointed out that Kuwait, as a nation, is supportive of such gracious endeavors that focus on serving humanity. (end) akw.nam
