Germany, Egypt sign agreement to combat illegal immigration


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BERLIN, Aug 27 (KUNA) -- Germany and Egypt signed Sunday an agreement to combat illegal immigration and human trafficking.

The German government seeks to invest in young generations and resolve all issues forcing people into illegal immigration, German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel said in a joint press conference with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry in Cairo.

For his part, Shoukry described his country's joint cooperation with Berlin in immigration as an important aspect of the two countries' relationship.

He also urged the German government to provide further support to eradicate the main causes of illegal immigration and human trafficking. (end) anj.ma
