UN Security Council holds 2 sessions on Syria, Libya today


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) New York, Aug. 28 (Petra) - The United Nations Security Council on Monday will hold a session on the Syria crisis, where the UN special envoy ,Stephane de Mistura, will brief the council's members on the result of his consultations with parties in Syria.

The Council will also hold another session on Libya, where the Special Representative and Head of UN Support Mission in Libya, Ghassan Salameh, will brief the members on the current situation there.

A further brief will be presented by the chair of Libya's sanctions committee, Swedish Ambassador Olof Skoog.
