Qatar share index drops below 9,000 level

Shares of 37 companies witnessed trading on Thursday. Of these, two companies gained, 34 closed lower, while one remained unchanged.
Indices of all sectors ended in the red. QSE Total Return Index lost 1.12% to 15,011.68 points. QSE Al Rayan Islamic Index declined 1.29% to 3,556.93 points and QSE All Share Index fell 1.17% to 2,526.60 points.
Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index dropped 101.78 points (1.12%) when the bourse closed trading at 8,951.82 points on Thursday.
The volume of shares traded decreased to 4,982,086 from 8,080,311 on Wednesday and the value of shares fell to QR124,521,873.06 from QR186,404,183.40 on Wednesday. Shares of 37 companies witnessed trading on Thursday. Of these, two companies gained, 34 closed lower, while one remained unchanged.
