Pakistan- Two doctors tested dengue positive at KTH,

PESHAWAR, August 25: Two doctors of Khyber Teaching Hospitals on Friday were tested positive with dengue virus. According to Young Doctors Association, Dr Kalimullah and Dr Shah Faisal were tested positive and shifted to isolation ward.

YDA president Dr Alamgir said that they infected doctors have been living in Doctors' Hostel where no fumigation was done against dengue. He demanded of the district government to carry out fumigation as soon as possible.

Deputy Commissioner Saqib Raza Aslam stressed on awareness to protect from dengue mosquitoes. He said health teams were assigned the task to create awareness among the masses due to which a considerable reduction in dengue cases has been reported.

Meanwhile, Mardan district government allowed district villages and neighbourhood councils to purchase fumigation machines and anti-mosquitoes' chemicals to contain dengue.

The permission was given at a seminar where provincial Education Minister Atif Khan, DC Mardan were also present.
