Chinese visitors to S. Korea drop by 70%
(MENAFN) The S. Koran government revealed that the number of Chinese tourists has decreased by about 70% on-year during July, on the back of diplomatic strains over the deployment of a U.S. anti-missile system here.
The tally of Chinese travelers has reached 281,263 in the preceding month, marking a 69.3% reduction compared with 917,519 tailed in 2016, the Korea Tourism Organization said.
On the other hand, during the first 7 months, the number of Chinese visitors came to 2.53 million, down by 46.5% from the same time in the previous year.
