(MENAFN) Officials stated that at least 11 Chinese travelers as well as 3 Thais were wounded when a pick-up truck smashed into a van transporting the tourists at around 16:30 local time in Chiang Mai town.
Furthermore, the Consulate General of China in Chiang Mai revealed about 5 Chinese people were seriously hurt saying they were transported to a local hospital.
He also posted that the 5 severely wounded people are still being treated at the hospital but they are in "stable conditions".
