Jordan- King condemns Finland terror attack

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) (For Print Media Only) Amman, Aug 19 (Petra) –– his majesty King Abdullah II on Saturday condemned as a cowardly terror act a deadly stabbing attack in Turku, Finland, that left innocent people dead or injured, and expressed Jordan's solidarity with Finland.
In a cable to Finland's President Sauli Niinisto, King Abdullah said Jordan stood by Finland "in these difficult circumstances" and reiterated the Kingdom's support of regional and international efforts to combat terrorism.
His Majesty expressed his deep sorrow and condolences to the families of the victims and wished the injured speedy recovery.
Two people were killed and eight others were injured in yesterday's attack in Turku in southwest Finland.
