AMMAN —AlGhad— The Ajloun Civil Defence Department (CDD) responded to a deliberate forest fire in the woodland near Ein al Qantara, said CDD Ajloun direct, Hani Smadi. Director Smadi said that the fire was lit in the midst of olive trees and woodlands across the area of 10 donums.
More so, Smadi said that most of the fires in the area were deliberate, and that the geography there makes it difficult for machinery to get to the fires.
Instead, units have had to respond to the fires on foot.
