At least 5 policemen died in Kenyan militant fight

(MENAFN) Kenyan Police revealed that 5 police officers were murdered as their round was ambushed by suspected Shabaab militants in eastern Kenya.
The police further announced that the conflict took place in Ijara, in the county of Garissa, and after that it turned to be a firefight between the officers and their assailants.
On the other hand, a senior police officer in Garissa added 'The five from Bothai police station were on patrol at 1:00 pm when they were ambushed by the terrorists on the Bothai-Ijara road, leading to a fierce gunfight'.
