Egypt's HDB records 52pct increase in H1


(MENAFN) The Housing and Development Bank recorded a 52 percent year on year jump in profits for the Jan-June period of the year due to higher interest revenues.

Furthermore, net profits increased to EGP599.2mn in the cited period of the year from EGP394.7mn in H1, 2016.

Additionally, interest revenues grew to EGP1.7bn in the period of the year, compared to EGP1.13mn in the same period of 2016.

Meanwhile, the bank achieved profits of EGP556.8mn in the three months ended March 2017, against EGP183.7mn in 2016.
