Scorching Heat Continues in Morocco with Highs of 47 Degrees Celsius

(MENAFN- Morocco World News) Rabat - Clear skies and heat waves will continue as temperatures will reach 47 degrees Celsius in several regions of Morocco on Sunday, according to the National Directorate of Meteorology(DMN).

High temperatures will range from 43 to 47 degrees on the plains of Tadla, Rhamna, Tensift, the interior of Sous and Chiadma, the eastern provinces to the south and the extreme southeast of the kingdom.

Temperatures between 39 and 43 degrees Celsius are forecast for Saiss, Oulmes, the southeast and the interior of Loukkos, Gharb, Chaouia, Doukkala, Abda and the southern provinces.

In the Rif, Oriental and the Atlantic lowlands and the west of the southern provinces, temperatures will range from 34 to 39 degrees Celsius. Temperatures between 29 to 33 degrees Celsius are forecast for the Atlas mountains and near the coast.

The sea is likely to be calm in the Mediterranean, while moderate to just a little rough in Tangier and a little agitated to agitated between Tangier and Rabat, as well as between Tarfaya and Lagouira.
