Qatar delivers second instalment to global fund combating organised crime

Vienna: The State of Qatar has delivered the second instalment of its contribution to the financing of the Global Program on the Implementation of the Doha Declaration, which is being carried out over five years (2016-2022) in cooperation between Qatar and the United Nations. H E Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al Thani, Qatar's Ambassador to the Republic of Austria and its permanent representative to UN and international organizations in Vienna, delivered the second tranche of Qatar's contribution during a meeting with John Brandolino, Director of Division for Treaty Affairs of United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Vienna.
The Global Program on the Implementation of the Doha Declaration, funded by the State of Qatar for the sake of peace and development in the world, aims at strengthening the capacities of States, especially developing countries, to combat organized crime and related drug crimes, terrorism and corruption, as well as to protect the public, especially youth, from the dangers of these crimes.
