Oman to take part in Arab Information Ministers Council meeting


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Cairo- The sultanate, represented by the Ministry of Information, will take part in the meeting of the 48th session of the Arab Information Ministers Council, scheduled to be held at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo on Wednesday.

The sultanate's delegation is being led by H E Dr Abdulmunim bin Mansour bin Said al Hasani, Minister of Information. The meeting will discuss the role of the Arab media in tackling the problem of terrorism and the draft Arab media map for sustainable development 2030, which was approved by the UN General Assembly in September 2015.

In addition, the meeting will raise the role of Arab media in supporting the Palestinian cause as part of the permanent items of the agenda of the Arab Information Ministers Council.

The Arab Media Day will be marked on the occasion.
