Deals inked for Oman's first LPG extraction plant at USD826mn


(MENAFN) Agreements were signed for the installation of Oman's first liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) extraction plant with an USD826mn investment to unlock the economic and commercial potential of its hydrocarbon resources.

The project is being boosted by Oman Gas Co. SAOC, the midstream vertical of the government"s energy and strategic investment arm Oman Oil Co. SAOC (OOC).

Meanwhile, at the middle of the project is an extraction and fractionation plant made to process more than 8.8mn standard cubic meters/ day of natural gas.

Furthermore, LPG will be shipped to markets in the Indian sub-continent, a task handed to OOC's global trading arm Oman Trading Intl.
