Oman to commence operating gas from Khazzan in Sep


(MENAFN) Oman will start processing a plant for gas from the Khazzan gas field in early Sep, as exposed the Oman news agency.

Additionally, the first train has a capacity of 500mn cubic feet per day of gas, whereas the second train will be in operation in early 2018.

Last year, the first phase of the project is more than 80 percent complete and remains on schedule to receive first gas in late 2017, generating 1.0bn cubic feet of gas a day.

Moreover, BP Oman is lead partner in the project with a 60 percent interest, while Oman Oil Co. Exploration & Production holds 40 percent.
