Oman- OCTM's Little Musician event begins today

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Oman Centre for Traditional Music (OCTM) at the Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science of the Diwan of Royal Court will begin a programme titled Little Musician on Sunday.

Organised in coordination with the Ministry of Education, it is aimed at musical talents under the age of 18 years and will continue until July 13.

The programme seeks to discover and develop talents in the fields of music and singing, direct them scientifically and practically, and introduce them to the traditional musical heritage of Oman, its patterns, instruments and methods of performance.

The programme, which comes within the framework of the activities of the centre for the current year 2017, will be attended by 18 students of some schools in the Governorate of Muscat.

It will be held under the supervision and implementation of members of the House of Omani Music at OCTM.
