UAE- Kids, have new experiences this summer and bag a prize

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) of Dubai is challenging students to have brand new experiences over the summer as part of the #10WeekStreak Challenge.

The challenge, according to KHDA, is designed to promote wellbeing and the love of learning. #10WeekStreak challenges students to try or do something new each week over 10 weeks, post a photo or video of themselves doing each activity on Twitter or Instagram, and challenge five of their friends to do the same.

Students decide which activities to try depending on what they most enjoy. If they need extra help choosing, the KHDA website offers a list of suggestions based on the New Economics Foundation's five ways to wellbeing - give, connect, be active, take notice and keep learning.

Dr Abdulla Al Karam, director-general of the KHDA, said: "Summer holidays are a great opportunity for young people to explore what they like to do, as well as find new things they're interested in. During #10WeekStreak, the whole community will become a classroom. The challenge supports the idea that learning is for life, and will use the positive power of social media to enable students to share their experiences with each other."

All students from Dubai can take part in the #10WeekStreak, regardless of their age or where they are during the summer. To help students organise their activities for #10WeekStreak, a printable planner is also available. #10WeekStreak will run from Sunday July 2 to Thursday September 7. Students who take part for 10 consecutive weeks will be eligible to win a prize at the beginning of the next academic year.
