Kuwait- Young entrepreneurs suffering from rent hike


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, June 29: Chairman of the Kuwaiti Association for Small and Medium Enterprises Daoud Marafie disclosed that young entrepreneurs are suffering from increasing rents, as about 60 percent of their total expenditures are rents, reports Al-Qabas daily.

Marafie stressed that the Kuwaiti market is hungry for light industries and agricultural projects, highlighting the availability of initiatives to direct Kuwaiti youths to fill the vacuum in those two sectors.

He affirmed that the board of directors of the association will conduct visits to government agencies concerned with small and medium enterprises in line with a series of steps aimed at supporting entrepreneurs. Marafie said these visits will focus on the need for the establishment of special departments within these agencies to provide services exclusively to entrepreneur
