Trump to name Brendan Carr to open FCC seat

(MENAFN) The White House announced that Trump will name Brendan Carr, the republican who served previously as an advisor for FCC Chairman Ajit Pai, to an open seat, while he is currently the general counsel at the FCC and he worked at the Wiley Rein LLP law firm.

Carr did not respond to a request for comment, however; the five-seat FCC had only three members currently.

Earlier, Trump had nominated Jessica Rosenworcel, a Democrat, to another open seat at the FCC, but the US Senate must confirm both Carr and Rosenworcel before they can be seated.
