Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Receives Phone Call from Kerry

(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Abu Dhabi, August 31 (QNA) - Abu Dhabi's Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received today a telephone call from US Secretary of State John Kerry.

They discussed relations of co-operation between the UAE and the United States, and ways to enhance them to serve the common interests of the two friendly countries, Emirates WAM news agency reported.

Sheikh Mohamed and Kerry reviewed the current situation in the region, particularly the Syrian crisis, and its security and humanitarian repercussions. They also tackled the Yemen issue and ways to address it.

They also discussed the international community";s efforts in the fight against violence, extremism and terrorism, as well as the fight against terrorist organizations.(QNA)
