On Tuesday, reigning super-hit South Korean drama 'Doctor" ended with record-high ratings: it crossed the 20-percent mark.
Ratings research company Nielsen Korea revealed that the final episode of the SBS drama scored 20.2 percent nationwide ratings. Ratings for Episodes 18 and 19 did not surpass the 20-percent mark.

Soompi reported that the highest rated minute that included the final scene featuring leads Kim Rae-won and Park Shin-hye recorded 27.8 percent ratings. Other dramas in the same time slot received poor attention because of this. MBC's 'Monster' scored 9.7 percent ratings while KBS 2TV's 'Moonlight Drawn By Clouds' recorded 8.5.

Episode One of the medical-themed romantic drama that was aired on June 20 recorded a 12.9 percent in viewership ratings nationwide. Its second episode took 14.2 percent.
In comparison, 'Descendants of the Sun' aired its finale in April and garnered 38.8 percent rating. It was highly anticipated that 'Doctors' will attain the 'Descendants of the Sun' glory. But the medical drama just crossed 20.
Meanwhile, the 'Doctors' cast and crew have planned to celebrate their success with a domestic trip.
