Doha, Ankara Municipalities Sign Twinning Agreement


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Ankara, August 24 (QNA) - The municipalities of Doha and Ankara signed a twinning agreement within the framework of strengthening the bonds of cooperation and fraternity between Qatar and Turkey.
HE Minister of Municipality and Environment Mohamed bin Abdullah Al Rumaihi signed the agreement on behalf of the Qatari side while Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor, Melih Gokcek, signed representing the Turkish side.
The agreement includes the exchange of information, expertise and experiences between Doha and Ankara in the different areas of services such as the development of joint programs in the fields of construction, sanitation, awareness, recycling, and planting and greening cities, in addition to following up on the latest scientific developments and specialized training programs.
HE Qatar's Ambassador to Turkey Salem bin Mubarak Al-Shafi attended the signing of the agreement. (QNA)
