(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Gaza, August 20 (QNA) - Israeli occupation naval forces on Saturday opened fire at Palestinian fishermen and fishing boats off the coast of the Gaza Strip.
The fishermen said that they were prevented from sailing and had to stay on land to guarantee their safety. They added that no injuries occurred during the incident.
According to the Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR), Israeli naval forces opened fire on Palestinian fishermen at least 139 times over the course of the year, wounding 24 and damaging 16 fishing boats. (QNA)
