(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) WASHINGTON, Aug 20 (KUNA) -- The US-led coalition against the so-called Islamic State (IS) has launched 28 airstrikes targeting the group in Syria and Iraq on Friday, the Combined Joint Task Force -Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR) said in its daily report on Saturday.
In Syria, 19 air strikes hit IS facilities near Abu Kamal, Ar Raqqah, Dayr Az Zawr, Manbij, and Mar'a.
In Iraq, nine strikes hit IS facilities near Al Baghdadi, Kisik, Mosul Qayyarah, Ramadi. (end) ak.msa
