Al Mouj Muscat backs Omani talent in UCI Road World Championships

In line with its strategy to support young Omani talent, Al Mouj Muscat, Oman's lifestyle destination, in partnership with the Oman Cycling Association will back sultanate's cyclists participating in the UCI Road World Championships to be held in Doha, Qatar.

The Road World Championship, organised by the Union Cyclist Internationale, will be held from October 9 to 16 with participation of about 1,000 racers from 75 countries around the world.

More than 5,700 members from national federations, delegations and technicians will attend the event.

Further, around 30,000 fans will arrive in Doha and millions of spectators from all over the world are expected to watch this annual event that has been organised since 1921 across different countries.

In preparation for the championship, the two selected cyclists from Oman will be sent for training at the International Training Centre in Switzerland, with the hopes of ensuring maximum exposure from the promising competitors.

Emphasising that Al Mouj Muscat seeks to inspire and motivate young Omanis, Nasser Masoud al Sheibani, acting CEO, said, 'We are delighted to support our talented sportsmen who have qualified to participate in this well-known international level competition.'
