Noram Ventures unearths best samples yet at Nevada lithium project

(MENAFN- ProactiveInvestors - N.America) Noram Ventures Inc (CVE:NRM) told investors it has now completed a programme of sampling focussed on the Zeus claims, within the Clayton Valley area in Nevada.

The sampling work, the second phase carried out thus far, has seen the highest lithium values measured to date at the Clayton Valley project.

The explorer highlighted that samples from the Zeus area returned lithium values of 206 parts per million (ppm) up to 1,670ppm, and averaged 750ppm.

'The results from the Phase II sampling continue to indicate that Noram's Zeus claims are extremely favorable, both for the lithium brine potential and for the potential of the Tertiary Esmeralda Formation,' said Bradley Peek, independent technical consultant to Noram.

'The brine potential is established by professional geologic reports and by the proximity of the Zeus claims to the only lithium brine production in North America.'

Zues is located within two kilometres of Albemarle's Silver Peak Lithium which, as highlighted by Noram, has run since 1966 and is presently the only lithium brine production operation in North American.

Noram is currently amassing one of the larger land packages in Nevada's Clayton Valley, with 888 non-contiguous claims so far spanning some 17,738 acres. The exploration land is positioned either side (north and south) of the Silver Peak mine.

Company president Mark Ireton highlighted in today's statement that the analysis of sampling data will help Noram identify target areas for future drilling.
