UAE- 32 Emirati students to visit Germany, S. Korea, China for 6 weeks

ABU DHABI, 9th July, 2016 (WAM) -- Thirty-two male and female students participating in the advanced level of the UAE Youth Ambassador Programme, run under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, today began a series of visits to Germany, South Korea and China from 9th July-19th August.

The programme is run by Abu Dhabi Crown Prince''s court in coordination with the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the UAE embassies in the three countries as well as the embassies of these countries in the UAE.

The 22 female students and 10 male students are from the UAE University, Abu Dhabi University, Zayed University, Khalifa University and the Petroleum Institute.

In Germany, 16 students will engage in vocational training programmes at Siemens company, Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research and the German railway company Deutsche Bahn. They will also engage in language training courses in German, Korean and Chinese.

In China, five students will visit China National Petroleum Corporation, China Central Television (CCTV) Headquarters, Borouge company and the UAE Embassy.

In South Korea, 11 students will visit the Samsung Group, Korea the National Oil Corporation, Korea Electric Power Corporation, the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), the Seoul National University Hospital and the Hyundai Motor Company.

Recently, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation conducted a one-day orientation programme for the students to introduce them to the codes of conduct in the three countries as well about the UAE''s relations with these countries.
