State General Reserve Fund website wins gold at Oman Tech Awards

The State General Reserve Fund bagged the Gold Award at Oman Tech Awards 2016 as the best website in Oman for government & Ministries category.

The awarding ceremony was held at Shangri-La Barr al Jissah Resort & Spa under the auspices of Rasheed al Haribi chairman of the Tender Board.

A large number of invitees webmasters and electronic applications developers from government and private agencies competed.

The event was also attended by institutions working in the fields of development of websites and e-marketing.

SGRF website was launched in 2014 to provide the public the information and data relating to the performance of the fund and its investments. Both came from the fund's desire to be more transparent and communicate with the community to introduce the role of SGRF in the economic development of the country. This milestone came as a result of the huge efforts of SGRF administrative and technical units and their eagerness to achieve excellence and innovation in all areas.

Oman Tech Award is supported by the Information Technology Authority.

It is a platform to honour the various outstanding and innovative digital initiatives and applications. Hundreds of websites and applications in Oman participate in this platform to compete. The arbitration committee is keen during the evaluation of the websites on a number of criteria and standards that focus on the content and design quality the structure and easy navigation.
