Minister Confirms Maturity of Morocco s Tourism Industry
(MENAFN- Morocco World News) Lahcen Haddad the Minister of tourism took part in a forum organized by the National Federation of tourist Transporters (FNTT) under the theme “The Digital Revolution: Impact on Mobility' on Wednesday.
During the minister's speech he confirmed “the maturity of Moroccan operators and their awareness of the challenges the sector is facing and the need to adapt to the backdrop of changing patterns of consumption.' With the digitalization of the world the tourism
industry is facing new challenges and a paradigm shift is required to review all components of the tourism environment whether on the product-design level regulation and support level or just simple promotion. The event included a seminar on the issue of digital innovation and its impact on the supply and demand of transportation in Morocco. During the session the Minister highlighted the benefits of market connectivity and urged Moroccan professionals to adopt new tools and adapt to the 'metamorphosis” of distribution channels and the emergence of new players. The minister also encouraged tourism professionals to become paperless in order to reduce their carbon footprint and provide better customer service. Haddad also reiterated the willingness of his ministry to help professionals make the most of the “digital revolution” in order to enhance the attractiveness of retail outlets optimize collaboration efforts between the various stakeholders and provide the best customer experience.
