Al Jarwan condemns draft law to include settlements within Israel
CAIRO 4th May 2016 (WAM) -- Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan Speaker of the Arab Parliament has condemned an Israeli draft law which demands the annexation of settlements in the occupied West Bank to Israel.
Al Jarwan said that the draft resolution aims to legitimise the occupation annexation of large swathes of the occupied West Bank which are internationally recognised as occupied Palestinian lands according to the 1967 borders stressing that these Israeli policies "will not succeed in making the illegal settlements".
He explained that the draft law of annexation of settlements undermines the two-state solution and destroys all the Arab and international peace efforts as it is aimed at the establishment of an apartheid system in the West Bank.
Al Jarwan pointed out that such policies are not new to Israel which has always struck against international legitimacy and applied illegal drafts and laws including the establishment of the apartheid wall in the occupied territories which has been internationally condemned as illegal.
