Abu Dhabi Police celebrate Earth Day

ABU DHABI 24th April 2016 (WAM) -- The Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters has marked Earth Day. As part of the celebrations Major-General Mohammed Khalfan Matar Al Rumaithi Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police planted trees in the general headquarters' yard assisted by a number of high ranking officers.

Major-General Al Rumaithi emphasised the unrelenting commitment to protect the environment and to raise awareness in the community of the need to maintain it for future generations. This approach falls in line with the environment health and occupational safety system project plan for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi as it pursues sustainable development and seeks to reduce the effects of pollution on both humans and the environment.

The event was attended Maktoum Ali Al Shareefi Acting Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police Major General Omair Muhammad Al Muhairi Director-General of Police Operations at Abu Dhabi Police Brigadier Sheikh Mohammad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan Director-General of Security and Ports Affairs Brigadier Obeid Salem Rashid Ali Al Habalah Al Ketbi Director-General of Human Resources at Abu Dhabi Police and Brigadier Saif Hamdan Rashid Al Ka'bi Deputy Director of Finance and Services along with a number of officers at Abu Dhabi Police.
