(MENAFN) GAC Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Co., the 50:50 joint-ventures between GAC Group and Fiat Automobiles, started operation of its assembly plant in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou.
Specifically, this is the second production base of GAC Fiat Automobiles, which will have a production capacity of 160,000 vehicles and generate an industrial outcome of USD4.4 billion annually.
The plant, which is located in the Panyu District of Guangzhou, can promote exchanges and cooperation in terms of capital, personnel and technology between GAC and Fiat Chrysler.
On a side note, GAC Group is a Chinese automobile maker headquartered in Guangzhou, and it sells passenger cars under the Trumpchi brand and SUVs under the Changfeng Motor brand, among others.
