Qatar- Vladimir Putin Orders Withdrawal of Russian Forces from Syria
(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Moscow March 14 (QNA) - Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday ordered the defense ministry to begin the withdrawal of Russian forces from Syria on Tuesday Russian TASS news agency reported.
"I think that the tasks set to the defense ministry generally fulfilled. That is why I order to begin withdrawal of most of our military group from Syria starting from tomorrow" Putin said on Monday at a meeting with Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
"Putin also stressed that our bases in Tartus and the Khmeimim airfield - will operate in a routine mode." (QNA)
