Presidential spokesman Jeong Yeon-guk told reporters Wednesday THAAD deployment is part of South Korea's arsenal of countermeasures against North Korea's provocations based on its right to defend itself. He added China should be aware of that according to (Arirang News).
His comments came a day after China's Ambassador to South Korea Qiu Guohong lashed out saying that the THAAD deployment could destroy Korea-China relations "in an instant." Seoul's foreign ministry has asked the Chinese embassy for an explanation. (QNA)
