Oman- Paediatrics conference discusses controversies management pitfalls

The 19th International Paediatrics Conference this year was themed 'Controversies in Paediatrics: Pitfalls in Management'.

It was organised by the Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) under the patronage of H E Dr Mohammed Saif al Hosni Undersecretary for Health Affairs at the Ministry of Health a press release stated.

Delegates from Oman Saudi Arabia Kuwait Iraq India Pakistan Germany and the US participated in the three-day conference which concluded on Saturday. Professor Yassir Wali chairman of the organising committee said 'Oman has a relatively young population - 40 per cent being aged under 15 years. State-of-the-art diagnostic tools excellent therapeutic modalities new hospitals upgrading old ones and adding young local medical staff have helped Oman progress in the field of child healthcare.'

H E Dr Hosni opened the exhibition of posters on child health research as well.
