(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Doha February 18 (QNA) - HE Minister of Municipality and Environment Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Rumaihi inaugurated today Al Khor Park at Al Khor Municipality after being rehabilitated according to the highest international specifications and standards. HE the Minister toured the Park facilities and briefed on services being provided.

HE the Minister praised the efforts of all employees on the implementation of the project noting that the State has allocated a big budget for the Park to make it with the highest standards in order to provide best services for the benefit of the people by finding comfort and well-being for themselves and their children especially on holidays.

HE the Minister added that the ministry is planning to increase the number of green areas in the state and districts (Furjan) gardens for its environmental and societal importance along with the large parks that serve the largest segment and more areas in the State.

Al Khor Park was opened in 1983 covers an area of approximately 240000 square meters and features a vast and bright green areas with large trees.(QNA)
