Paris Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi organises its annual Open Day

ABU DHABI 21st February 2016 (WAM) -- In light of its strategy to attract the best young and excellent talent in the UAE and the region Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi PSUAD is organising its annual Open Day under the theme "Your First Steps towards the Future" this coming Wednesday at its campus on Reem Island.

Around 1500 students faculty professionals and parents are expected to take part in the event.

The Open Day aims to shed light on the Academic programmes and specialisations offered by PSUAD as well as give participants an opportunity to take a tour of the campus and meet with the heads of the Bachelors and Masters programmes. The Open day will also feature a number of workshops and interactive panel discussions revolving around the academic programmes offered by PSUAD which includes 11 BA and 13 MA programmes.

Dr. Fatima Saeed Al Shamsi Deputy Vice Chancellor of Administrative Affairs at PSUAD said "Open Day reflects PSUAD's unremitting efforts to attract excellent students both nationals and expatriates who wish to start or pursue their educational journeys in one of the best universities locally and internationally."

Al Shamsi continued "In line with the theme 'Your First Steps towards the Future' we have chosen this year to focus on introducing students to the French education system including the higher education system and showcasing all the different advantages it provides as well as promoting the integrated services and activities that we offer. Through this strategy we seek to highlight the critical role PSUAD plays in supporting students and participants in the long run to guarantee the best academic and learning path for them."

Dr. Francois Xavier Romanacce Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at PSUAD added "We aim through Open Day initiative to introduce visitors to all our BA and MA programmes in order to facilitate their selection process in choosing the field they would like to join. Faculty from various departments and sections will make a short presentation of their Degree programmes and job opportunities and then be available to answer questions and queries giving participants all the needed information. We are also organising a number of workshops for the students faculty and parents to provide them with a deeper understanding of the French Higher Education system and equip them with the needed tools to support students in their education journey."

Romanacce added "We expect around 1500 participants during the Open Day in addition to around 900 students currently studying at PSUAD. This will indeed give visitors an opportunity to meet students network and share experiences and ask them about their personal experiences at PSUAD."
