Emir discusses Syria with Erdogan
Istanbul: Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani discussed the latest regional and international developments with President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan yesterday.
They focused on developments in Syria and agreed on the need for a political resolution to the crisis that maintains the unity of Syrian land.
The meeting took place at Yilidiz Presidential Palace where the two leaders had a working lunch and reviewed bilateral cooperation and the means to enhance them.
They discussed cooperation in the economic investment and military field.
The delegation accompanying the Emir attended the meeting. On the Turkish side members of the cabinet participated in the discussions.
Later the Emir met with Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.
They discussed bilateral relations and means to enhance them in all fields.
Upon his arrival at Istanbul Ataturk Airport the Emir was received by Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Berat Albayrak Qatar’s Ambassador to Turkey Salem bin Mubarak Al Shafi and a number of senior Turkish officials and embassy members.QNA
