Qatar Pakistan sign LNG agreement


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) The Emir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif at the Emiri Diwan today.

Doha: The Emir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif held official talks at the Emiri Diwan today.

The Emir and the Pakistani Prime Minister witnessed the signing of an Agreement for Cooperation to import Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) between Qatar Petroleum (QP) and the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources of Pakistan.

A Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) for cooperation in radio and television sector for cooperation in health sector and on academic research and cooperative activities were also signed.



The Deputy Emir H H Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani also attended the meeting and signing ceremony.

The talks and signing ceremony were also attended by the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani along with a number of Ministers.

On the Pakistani side they were attended by members of the official delegation accompanying the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

The Pakistani Premier had earlier arrived at the Emiri Diwan and was accorded an official reception ceremony.
