UAE Foreign Minister receives Mauritius Deputy Prime Minister

ABU DHABI 27th January 2016 (WAM) --- H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foreign Minister of the UAE today received Showkutally Soodhun Vice Prime Minister of Mauritius who is on a visit to the UAE.

The parties discussed avenues of friendship and cooperation in economic trade investment tourism and energy between the UAE and Mauritius as well as ways of activating this cooperation to serve the mutual interests of the two countries.

Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi Minister of State of the UAE attended the meeting.

They also discussed a number of regional and international issues.

Welcoming the vice prime minister of Mauritius H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed commended the growing of relations between the two countries in the context of their keen interest in bolstering their cooperation in various spheres.

For his part Vice Prime Minister of Mauritius Showkutally Soodhun expressed his country's desire to find common avenues for fruitful cooperation with the UAE.

He noted that his visit enhances relations cooperation and friendship between the two countries.

He added that the visit was a big boost for the future through building cooperation with the UAE which he said enjoys a good international reputation and an outstanding global stature.
