Saudi- Say no to Trump
(MENAFN- Arab News) I full agree with the views expressed by Linda Heard in her article 'Muslim countries should ban Trump' (Jan. 11). The Muslim world should take preemptive action against politicians like Trump.
The US Republican front-runner Donald Trump has crossed all limits. His vitriolic attacks on minorities particularly Muslims should be taken seriously. His rants against Muslims appear to be more than political rhetoric. Xenophobia is not only on the rise in Europe but also in the entire West. Had that not been the case the Grand Old Party would never have continued endorsing Trump as a possible presidential candidate. Trump is basically a businessman who is trying to capitalize on the fears of the masses. Unfortunately the mainstream western media has created an atmosphere of fear and distrust in the western society. I shudder with the thought of seeing a bigot like Trump becoming the president of the United States. The Americans should try to understand his ugly tactics and say no to a man whose policies are in sharp contrast with the ideals of the founding fathers of this great nation. Fahad Shahid Riyadh
