Oman regrets sabotage against Saudi Embassy and Consulate in Iran
(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Muscat 26 Rabi'I1437 AH 06 January2016 SPA -- The Sultanate of Oman deeply regretted the sabotage against the headquarters of Saudi Embassy in Tehran and General Consulate in the city of Mashhad by Iranian demonstrators which is a violation of Vienna convention on diplomatic Relations and international charters and norms that emphasize the sanctity of diplomatic premises and protection by the host country.
A statement issued by the Omani Foreign Ministry today reported by Oman News Agency said that the Sultanate considers this action as unacceptable and stresses at the same time the importance of creating new rules prohibiting any form of intervention in the internal affairs of other countries to achieve international stability and peace.
