Oman figures in Redtag expansion plans

Dubai-based retailer Redtag plans to increase the number of stores in the Middle East by more than 26 per cent within the next two years.

In addition to the recent opening of four new stores in Saudi Arabia the brand plans to open 20 more stores in the MENA region this year including Saudi Arabia Oman Egypt Iraq and Uzbekistan.

Redtag's recently opened stores in the Saudi cities of Madina Sabya Riyadh and Mubarraz. These openings are part of the brand's expansion plan to be easily accessible for all shoppers even in more remote areas a recent company press release said.

Commenting on the new openings chief operating officer David Pidgeon said 'With four more stores in Saudi Arabia opened recently we have invested in offering better access to our fashion and home products for all of our customers in the region.

'The Middle East is a very big value market for our brand and we have managed to penetrate 59 cities across the region. To further strengthen our position in the region we aim to add more retail showrooms to be even more connected in smaller towns and cities.'

Out of a total of the brand's over 170 stores across the Middle East 101 are currently in Saudi Arabia with a large presence in other countries including Bahrain Egypt Iraq Jordan Kuwait Nigeria Oman Qatar Tunisia UAE Uzbekistan and Yemen the release added.
