UAE- 1277 civilians killed by rebel Houthi Saleh militia in Taiz: report
ADEN 3rd January 2016 (WAM) --- The rebel Houthi militia and forces loyal to now-ousted president Ali Abdullah Saleh killed 1277 civilians including 133 children and 65 women in Taiz Governorate between the onset of the war and the end of December 2015 the Yemeni Coalition to Monitor Human Rights Violations has said in a new report.
The rebels' indiscriminate bombardment of residential areas in Taiz also left 7626 civilians including 686 children and 231 women injured the report said.
The rebels also abducted 214 people including 93 activists 45 politicians and 4 journalists.
The bombardments destroyed the premises of 172 government institutions including 55 schools and 21 medical facilities.
The report says that around 1778 private properties mostly houses were destroyed by the rebels who forced more than 9500 families out of Taiz City to suburban areas.
