The teams acted on spotting a suspicious vessel sailing towards Taqah port in the governorate.

Three persons of Arab nationality were arrested and 1495kg of khat was seized from them. In another case officials from the Directorate General for Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substances at Muscat International Airport arrested an Asian national with 2kg marijuana.

His questioning led to the arrest of a drug dealer who was waiting for the consignment at the airport. The accused have been referred to the Public Prosecution.
