Trump to Visit Jordan After Calling for Banning Muslims From Entering US

(MENAFN- Morocco World News) Republican U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump plans to visit Jordan a Muslim-majority country at the end of this month according to the Associated Press.

Less than a day after his Islamophobic statement in which he calls for banning all Muslims from entering the United States the real estate mogul will allegedly set foot in a Muslim country.

According to the same source the billionaire's visit to Jordan is part of his visit to Israel which he had previously announced in an interview.

'Very soon I'll be going to Israel' Trump said in response to a question from one of his supporters at a rally 'and I'll be meeting with Bibi Netanyahu. He's a great man' he added.

Trump's campaign declared that the GOP candidate wants to meet with King Abdullah of Jordan yet no confirmation of a meeting has been released.

'The Donald' will allegedly travel under the protection of the U.S. secret services.

The controversial candidate has expressed his anti-Muslim rhetoric several times since the beginning of his campaign worsening his remarks after the Paris attacks of November 13.

On Tuesday White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest harshly criticized Trump's remarks to suspend Muslim-entrance into the U.S. as 'deeply offensive' and goes against the Constitution of the U.S.

“What he said is disqualifying” Earnest said adding “And any Republican who’s too fearful of the Republican base to admit it has no business serving as president either.”

House Speaker Paul Ryan a Republican also lashed out at the New Yorker's remarks while praising the many Muslims in the American armed forces and the government who do uphold the U.S. Constitution.

“This is not conservatism. What was proposed [Monday by Trump] is not what this party stands for and more importantly it is not what this country stands for' Ryan said.

This will be the second visit of a Republican presidential candidate to Jordan after Trump's rival Ben Carson visited two weeks ago the country's Syrian refugee camps which shelter over 600000 Syrians.

The 'Make America Great Again' candidate's representatives have not yet issued any comments on his visit to Jordan.
